THE OWNER & FOUNDER - Pamela Begeal started her own pet sitting business in San Diego California in 1989. She became the Executive Director of the Pet Sitters Association of San Diego California in 1995.  In 1996 she started the very first computerized telephone referral service for pet sitting business owners in her County.  In 1996 she started teaching at what is now the Pet Sitting University.  

She has a BA in Communications and Public Relations, she has attended countless pet trade shows, shelter meetings, spoken at various animal events on the subject of pet sitting and is the author of many articles on the subject.  For more specifics on her background please click here

From her background you can probably see why so much of this website is biased toward educating yourself but she comes by her bias honestly.

She currently lives in San Diego California with her 2 dogs and very patient husband of 21 years.
